Small Oil Sands Stock

Oilsands Quest Inc. (AMEX: BQI), has begun drilling in northwest Saskatchewan, right next door to oil sands heavy Alberta. As a matter of fact where they are drilling is on the same extention of the oil bearing sands that are in Alberta. How much oil is there? Time will tell, but company insiders were buying up the stock recently. Remember to do your due diligence. but I would look at buying below $4.75.

Great LONG play --
decent volume today.

TICKER: MKTS (MKTSQ)
I bought this stock at $0.20 -- it's now at $0.35! Up 70% on serious volume. This is a pure liquidation play with approximately $1 dollar of NAV. This is an opportunity to potentially gain a 2x return in a year. Best to do this thru an IRA account given that you will be paid distributions. This is just another example of the buffet liquidation process -- pure NAV.

Short-term speculative potential, sure. As a long-term play, though, I'd be quite hesitant. Oil sands were touted really big, way back in the OPEC embargo oil crises of the 1970s. Nothing ever seems to develop in this field.
And, sadly, this is an area--sands, shale, and other exotic me-too oil stuff--that makes for a great market for con men of every stripe.
